Professional Development – present a session on “G-Suite Tools” to the elementary staff and a session on “Google Classroom” to the middle school and high school staff.
Debbie Watters – turned in her computer because she could no longer log in after getting help from someone. I backed up all her data to server, created a local account, deleted her mobile account, and applied all updates, and returned her computer.
Marissa Brown – reported a computer in the elementary lab will not connect to the Internet. Asked her to identify which computer that is.
eRate – Kennedy Payne at KSLLC requested several documents which I’m coordinating with Sean and Roberta to supply.
District – yesterday I learned that many of our staff are not getting my messages because they are going to the spam folder. I contacted Google via support chat to attempt to resolve that problem. I sent the transcript (below) of that call to OneNet requesting a change in our domain settings to prevent future messages from being marked as spam. OneNet ticket #22680
District – I sent another message to Ricky at RecTec to see when he can send me a quote for server maintenance.
District – during the staff development day, Monday, Jan. 10, Mike Palmer helped Sean Walker correct omissions to the eNotes notification system.

Thanks for contacting G Suite Support. My name’s Arjie M.., and I’ll be working with you today. I'm reading over your message right now. Was there anything else you'd like to add?
Google Administrator 9:31 AM
I don't think so.
Arjie M. 9:31 AM
Hello! How are you today?
Google Administrator 9:31 AM
Fine, thank you. And you
Arjie M. 9:32 AM
I see that your sent items went to their spam folder, Let me help you rectify this so you won't have to worry about the emails you send to the staff
Google Administrator 9:32 AM
Thanks
Arjie M. 9:32 AM
I'm doing great as well thank you for asking, may I have your name please by the way?
Google Administrator 9:32 AM
Tom Smith
Arjie M. 9:33 AM
Thank you tom! I have found where the problem is, the domain is missing the SPF record to authenticate the emails you send is not a spam. Can you Log in to the domain's control panel and I'll give you the record needed to be added
Google Administrator 9:34 AM
I'm currently logged into the admin console, is that the same as the control panel?
Arjie M. 9:35 AM
Oh, not there though, it has to be from where you bought the domain
Google Administrator 9:35 AM
Our domain was set up, years ago, by our ISP. Should I contact them then?
Arjie M. 9:36 AM
I see, Is it OneNet? That's what I see on the Domain's public information but I'm not sure if this is updated
Google Administrator 9:36 AM
Yes
Arjie M. 9:36 AM
That's one option, but they could've provided you a log in to modify the domain or website
Arjie M. 9:37 AM
Do you have those credentials?
Google Administrator 9:37 AM
No, I'm afraid not.
Arjie M. 9:38 AM
Oh, I see, would love to help you with this but we don't have access to OneNet's control panel, Here's my suggestion, you can give them a call, request for an "A" record to be added to your domain with the Value of "v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all"
Arjie M. 9:38 AM
Not including the quotation marks. It shouldn't take more than a minute to add that
Arjie M. 9:39 AM
Once it's added, it will propagate for approximately 24 hours and after that your worry about emails being tagged as spam is gone!
Google Administrator 9:39 AM
Okay, I'll use the transcript of this call when I contact them. I can get that from this chat window, right? Or do I get an email that will contain the transcript?
Arjie M. 9:39 AM
Yup! You can also use this link: https://support.google.com/a/answer/178723
